Public transit in Redwood City consists mainly of SamTrans buses, that operate as part of the San Mateo County Transit District. They serve Redwood City and link to Caltrain. SamTrans also provides express bus service to downtown San Francisco as well as San Jose and a number of peninsular points on the way.
